Position: Part-Time Cardiac Registered Nurse RN
Schedule:
  • 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM (Four Shifts per week), including every other weekend requirement
  • This position supports a specialized non-telemetry cardiac hallway, providing expert nursing care for residents with advanced cardiac needs.

Cardiac Registered Nurse RN Qualifications
To succeed as a Cardiac Registered Nurse RN at Complete Care at Brick, candidates should possess:
  • Active New Jersey Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
  • Current BLS/CPR Certification (American Heart Association preferred).
  • Previous long-term care, rehabilitation, skilled nursing, cardiac, or sub-acute nursing experience preferred.
  • Strong cardiac assessment and critical thinking skills.
  • Experience with:
    • Milrinone therapy
    • Infusion therapy
    • CHF management
    • LifeVest monitoring
    • TPN administration
    • Medication management
    • Basic EKG interpretation
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Commitment to providing compassionate, resident-centered care.
Cardiac Registered Nurse RN Responsibilities
As a Cardiac Registered Nurse RN at Complete Care at Brick, you will provide specialized nursing care for residents requiring advanced cardiac management while working closely with physicians, interdisciplinary team members, and nursing staff.
Responsibilities include:
  • Perform comprehensive cardiac assessments and monitor residents for changes in condition.
  • Deliver skilled nursing care to residents with complex cardiac diagnoses, including Congestive Heart Failure (CHF).
  • Administer medications safely, including inotropic medications and Milrinone infusions.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the Milrinone infusion administration process and ongoing monitoring requirements.
  • Manage infusion therapy according to physician orders and facility protocols.
  • Initiate, monitor, and manage Total Parenteral Nutrition (TPN) as appropriate.
  • Provide care for residents utilizing LifeVest cardiac wearable defibrillators.
  • Perform surgical wound assessments and dressing changes according to physician orders and individualized care plans.
  • Monitor treatment effectiveness and promptly communicate changes to physicians and the interdisciplinary care team.
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant nursing documentation.
  • Collaborate with therapists, physicians, nurse leaders, and fellow caregivers to deliver exceptional resident outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, local, and facility regulations.
  • Complete additional nursing responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Nursing or Administrator.
