Travel to Fort Wayne, Indiana for a Cardiac Stepdown Registered Nurse opportunity in a supportive acute care and progressive care environment.   • Shift: 12-hour nights, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
  • Hours per Week: 36
  • Weekend Requirement: Three weekend shifts within a 4-week period
  • Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,000 - $2,100
  • Setting: Acute care stepdown / progressive care / PCU
  • Orientation: Jumpstart program, EPIC training, and unit orientation
  • Floating: Required to step into MedSurg and similar units as needed
Job Requirements
  • At least 1 year of Stepdown, Progressive Care, or Med/Tele RN experience required
  • 2 years of PCU or Med/Tele experience preferred
  • Active Indiana RN license or compact RN license required
  • BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required
  • ACLS certification required
  • Cardiac nursing experience preferred
  • Experience with EPIC, Pyxis, Philips defibrillators, and Philips bedside monitors preferred
  • Ability to safely manage a 3-4:1 progressive care patient ratio
  • Comfortable with night shift scheduling, weekend rotation, and floating as needed
Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality nursing care to cardiac stepdown and progressive care patients
  • Monitor patient status closely and respond promptly to changes in condition
  • Administer medications and perform drip titration when qualified and experienced
  • Collaborate with physicians, charge nurses, and the interdisciplinary care team
  • Use EPIC for accurate, timely documentation and charting
  • Support safe patient care across MedSurg or other assigned units when floating
  • Follow unit procedures, safety standards, and evidence-based best practices
  • Contribute to a team-oriented, patient-focused acute care environment
