Position Summary

Squeeky’s Car Wash is seeking a driven, hands-on General Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of our Little River, SC location. The General Manager owns the overall performance of the site — building and leading a high-performing team, delivering an exceptional guest experience, growing membership and revenue, and ensuring the facility and equipment are always operating at their best. This role requires a strong commitment to excellence, a high level of self-motivation, and the ability to work independently while holding the team to a consistently high standard. The right candidate takes pride in a clean, well-run site and in making sure every customer’s vehicle — and every customer’s visit — leaves looking and feeling its best.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Operations & Facility

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the car wash to ensure smooth, efficient, and profitable performance.
  • Oversee facility maintenance, grounds upkeep, and curb appeal — including trash removal, spraying bays, sweeping, changing light bulbs, replacing hoses and fittings, removing debris, and light landscaping.
  • Ensure wash equipment is properly operated, maintained, and serviced; coordinate repairs and vendor visits and escalate major issues promptly.
  • Maintain adequate inventory of chemicals, supplies, and consumables, and manage ordering to control costs.

Team Leadership & Staffing

  • Recruit, hire, train, develop, and retain a strong site team; set clear expectations and hold staff accountable to Squeeky’s standards.
  • Own scheduling and payroll for the location, ensuring appropriate coverage across all operating hours, including weekends.
  • Coach and motivate team members daily; conduct performance conversations and address personnel matters in partnership with HR.

Guest Experience & Sales

  • Consistently deliver and model exceptional customer service that assures guest satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Explain and offer wash services and memberships to guests; drive membership growth and meet or exceed site sales goals.
  • Resolve guest concerns professionally and promptly to protect the Squeeky’s brand and reputation.

Financial & Administrative

  • Take ownership of the site’s financial performance, including revenue, labor, and expense management against budget.
  • Handle cash management and daily reconciliation accurately and in accordance with company policy.
  • Track and report site metrics, membership counts, and operational results to leadership.

Safety & Compliance

  • Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant work environment for both team members and guests.
  • Ensure adherence to all company policies, procedures, and applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Skills & Qualifications

Required

  • Management experience in a car wash is required.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to hire, train, schedule, and motivate a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • A high level of self-motivation and a genuine commitment to excellence and customer service.
  • Weekend availability is a must.
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and seasons (heat of the summer, cold of the winter).

Preferred

  • Prior experience with membership/subscription sales and meeting revenue targets.
  • Experience managing site P&L, labor, and inventory.
  • Familiarity with car wash equipment operation and basic troubleshooting.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

  • Ability to be on your feet and stand for extended periods, up to the entire work shift.
  • Physically able to bend, stoop, squat, kneel, reach, and step to perform job duties.
