Job description

Are you looking for a summer internship? Are you looking for an internship where you'll actually be doing the work versus just "assisting" with everything? Look no further!
The Macon Bacon summer internship program is uniquely designed to give college students the real world experience. Each intern becomes the right-hand person for the department head in that particular area. The goal for all of our interns is when the summer is over, you are ready to actually do the work.
The Bacon summer internship runs with our season which is from the beginning part of May (when your school is out of session) until the beginning of August. We have a total of 26 home games in 2026 and all of the positions have you working in the office as well.
If you don't already know, here's some more info about the Macon Bacon...The first seven seasons of the Macon Bacon have been a smashing success with more than half the games being sold out. The Macon Bacon have become a national sensation and we're looking for our next superstar. We are a collegiate summer baseball team and play in the Coastal Plain League. Our fans are treated with first-class entertainment and continuously have been in the top 5% in attendance in summer college baseball out of more than 300 teams and even had an average attendance of better than 30% of all Minor League Baseball organizations.
The Macon Bacon are led by Managing Partner and Team President, Brandon Raphael. Brandon has more than 27 years of experience in Minor League Baseball, Major League Soccer, College Athletics and Collegiate Summer Baseball. We have a full-time staff of nine and will bring in about 15 interns for the summer to round out our team.
The Internship that we have available are as follows:
Videography - Our videography intern is also a member of the marketing and entertainment staff. Working with the entire team on taking videos of our games and fans. The best moments, captured by you to be built into hype videos and game recaps. The photo/video interns are separate positions and we ask for you to have your camera equipment with this one too. Knowledge of splicing and building video content is very helpful here. You'll have an amazing teammate in our photography intern to work with.
Some items to consider...
We are looking for interns that are able to work the entire summer and commit to all home games and time in the office depending on the internship responsibilities. We will be playing a total of 26 home games from May 30 to August 2, with a possibility of one week longer if we make the playoffs. We ask that our interns start as early as possible in May, right after their school is out, but no later than May 25.
We ask that you provide your own housing and have reliable transportation to and from the ballpark.
Course credit and/or a stipend is available for all of our internships.
Our interns are highly sought in the working world upon graduation. Many of our interns have gone on to be hired by our team and other sports organizations throughout the country.
Does this sound like the right internship opportunity for you? If so, apply and we'll get going on the conversation right away. We won't wait. We won't string you along. We'll tell you right away if you've got what it takes to join our family for the summer.
We are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, age, disability, gender identity, marital or veteran status, or any other protected class.
