Job description

Position Title:

Assistant Baseball Coach

Job Description:

Reporting to the Head Baseball Coach, the Assistant Coach is responsible for working, as directed, with the Head Coach toward the planning and execution of a successful program. This position ensures the program works within NCAA, The Metro Conference, and University rules and regulations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Responsible for assisting with all facets of the baseball program

2. This position may be assigned to pitching, hitting, defensive and/or other skill instruction

3. Further, as assigned, work with the Head Coach to:

  • Assist with off-field responsibilities, including but not limited to recruiting, strategic planning, scouting reports, equipment maintenance and baseball analytics
  • Monitor the academic progress of its student-athletes
  • Support community engagement and player leadership development initiatives

4. Assist with practice planning and execution (including BP, fungo hitting, etc.)

5. Oversee other administrative job responsibilities, delegating as appropriate to the Director of Baseball Operations and student managers

Job Requirements: Education, Experience and Skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • Successful collegiate coaching and/or collegiate playing experience desired.
  • Review of candidates will begin immediately and will continue until the position is filled.

Salary Range:

$40,000 to $50,000/year

(Actual compensation will be commensurate with experience, education, and qualifications).
