Your Role: Manufacturing Scientist/Technical Services Intern - Clinton, Indiana (Summer 2027)
As a Summer 2027 Manufacturing Scientist/Technical Services Intern with Elanco Animal Health, you will be part of the Technical and Manufacturing Sciences team at our Clinton, Indiana manufacturing plant, to deliver a practical solution to reducing analytical variability, a technical project, or implementation of new lab methods. Interns will have exposure to many career paths and diverse subject matter experts as many projects have site-wide impact.
Your Responsibilities:
  • Understand the manufacturing environment and how to collaborate with different stakeholders to solve problems

  • Work within cross-functional teams to implement process or lab improvements

  • Learn about fermentation, product recovery, product finishing, or packaging

  • Data visualization tool creation/usage and documentation updates

What You Need to Succeed (minimum qualifications):
  • Education: Currently enrolled in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a similar major.

  • Top Skills: Experience in Microsoft Suites and a willingness to learn

What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications):
  • Have an interest in using data to solve problems, improving processes, or working in manufacturing

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
