Summer Analyst Jobs (NOW HIRING)

At Bessemer Venture Partners (BVP), we believe venture capital thrives in an apprenticeship model. For almost twenty years, we've been fortunate enough to bring on ambitious and aspiring investors each year to join the program as a foray into their careers.

While there are skills and lessons you can learn in school, many elements of venture capital, such as developing investment judgment, identifying emerging startups, and refining roadmaps for the future, are best learned on the job by engaging with entrepreneurs and experienced investors.

Analysts typically join our selective, two-year program directly from or shortly after completing their undergraduate studies. The program is based in our New York office, but analysts collaborate on projects with other Bessemer investment professionals across the globe and work with world-class company founders and executives.

The BVP partners and broader investing team provide hands-on training to provide the foundational skills for your investing career, mentorship on the art of the industry, and invaluable experience. Our analysts are critical, valuable members of our team; they participate in our weekly partnership meetings and make a tremendous impact on the firm.

Analysts are oftentimes the first touchpoint startup founders have with Bessemer. They play a role that requires an enterprising spirit, empathy, and a deep understanding of what makes a business work under the hood.

• Location: On Site, New York City, NY
• Duration: 10 weeks (June 2027 - August 2027)
• Schedule: Monday-Friday

Your daily schedule and responsibilities include sourcing new companies, deep research in the diligence, roadmap and deal-making process, and working alongside BVP team members to help our portfolio companies flourish. The skills and experience you gain in this program are foundational to your career. Whether you pursue additional opportunities at Bessemer or elsewhere, your BVP analyst experience will be formative and open endless possibilities.

• Interact with 100+ CEOs in an effort to identify seed-stage to Series C startups disrupting a wide range of industries: from consumer internet and e-commerce, to mobile and cloud computing, to business software, healthcare and cleantech.
• Work closely with the firm's partners to conduct due diligence on the investment opportunities you discover and help to develop new investment roadmaps.
• Develop an eye for identifying the most exciting sectors and business opportunities in the innovation economy, build a deep understanding of business models, and grow an extensive network of entrepreneur and VC colleagues.

Former analysts have gone on to take senior roles at Bessemer, join later-stage firms in venture and private equity, start their own funds, and join or found startups.

• $2200 per week (paid every two weeks) 
• $5,000 relocation and housing bonus payment to defray costs in connection with your stay in the New York City area for the summer

• Deep curiosity about technology evolution, societal trends and entrepreneurship
• Demonstrated leadership on campus and/or beyond it
• Highly effective communication and persuasion skills
• Unrelenting determination
• Reasonable fluency in fundamental business concepts (accounting, investing)

• Undergraduate college students expecting to graduate between the spring and summer of 2028.
• Any major or course of study accompanied by exceptional academic performance

• December 1st, 2025: Application Opens

• In March 2026: Offer Letters Sent (subject to change)
• June 2027: Internship Begins

Recent analyst cohorts have included students in statistics and data science, computer science (including AI and robotics), cognitive science, economics, earth systems, business, international relations, art history, product design, English, philosophy, electrical and computer engineering, and computational biology-showcasing a mix of technical builders and entrepreneurial thinkers from across STEM and the liberal arts.
