Summer Accounting Intern

Duration: May 2026 - August 2026

Schedule: Part-Time or Full-Time Summer Internship

Crystal Heating & Cooling Service, Inc. is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Summer Accounting Intern to support our Accounting Department during our busy summer season. This internship offers hands-on experience in accounting operations, payroll support, accounts payable/receivable, job costing, and construction accounting within a fast-paced HVAC environment.

This is an excellent opportunity for a student pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration who wants meaningful real-world accounting experience beyond basic administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with Accounts Payable processing, invoice entry, and vendor file maintenance.
  • Support Accounts Receivable activities, including customer payment application and collections follow-up
  • Help reconcile credit card statements, bank transactions, and general ledger accounts
  • Assist with payroll preparation, reporting, and audit support
  • Support construction and union-related accounting functions, including equality funds processing, union reporting, prevailing wage documentation, and compliance tracking
  • Suppothe rt month-end close processes and preparation of journal entries
  • Organize and maintain accounting and employee documentation
  • Assist with job costing and financial data entry in ServiceTitan and QuickBooks
  • Prepare spreadsheets, reports, and financial analysis using Microsoft Excel
  • Support internal process improvement and special accounting projects
  • Assist with filing, scanning, and maintaining accurate accounting records
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial and employee information

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial statements
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently in a deadline-driven environment
  • Strong communication and professionalism
  • Willingness to learn and take initiative

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior office, bookkeeping, or internship experience preferred but not required.d
  • Experience with QuickBooks, ServiceTitan, or ERP/accounting systems is a plus.
  • Interest in construction, HVAC, or operational accounting environments
