MINNKOTA POWER COOPERATIVE

ACCOUNTING ASSISTANT INTERN

Minnkota Power Cooperative is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented student for an Accounting Assistant Intern to join our team starting January 2027.  The internship, located at our Grand Forks, ND office, offers hands-on experience supporting the Financial Services department in a professional environment.

The pay range for this internship begins at $15.30 per hour.  Appropriate pay will be determined based on a candidate’s level of completed education and relevant experience.  This is a temporary, non-benefited position.

Position Summary

The Accounting Assistant Intern reports to the Financial Services Supervisor.  This role will support the finance team by performing essential accounts payable functions, with a primary focus on accurate and timely invoice entry.  This role is responsible for:

  • Processing vendor invoices
  • Verifying data for completeness and accuracy
  • Ensuring proper coding in accordance with company policies
  • Assisting in maintaining organized financial records
  • Supporting month-end close activities
  • Communicating with internal departments and external vendors as needed
