Overview:
Join our finance team as an Accounting Intern at BioLegend, a Revvity company and gain hands-on experience in essential business operations!
You'll be responsible for performing a variety of entry-level bookkeeping and accounting functions on a timely basis. Your responsibilities will include data entry, accounts receivable management, collections support, filing, processing weekly incoming payments, and other essential accounting duties that will build your professional foundation.
This full-time summer internship runs from June through late summer, Monday-Friday onsite in San Diego with a possibility of extending to part-time in the fall.
Essential Functions:
Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
  • Monitor customer aging reports
  • Customer collections
  • Process incoming ACH, wire, or check payments and credit card payments
  • Actively investigate and resolve irregularities in incoming payments
  • Contact customers as needed to ensure all invoices they received
  • Complete the credit approval process for new customers
  • Create sales credit memos and revised sales invoices as needed
  • Create the vendor setup for new vendors
  • Knowledge of sales and use tax to ensure invoicing is correct
  • Reconciliation of various sub-ledgers to G/L accounts
  • Post month-end journal entries (as necessary)
  • Other projects or responsibilities may be required.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Currently pursuing an accounting, business, or related degree.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Accounting or Finance related major designation
  • Excellent verbal, listening and writing skills
  • Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
  • Ability to process large volume transactions
  • Positive and flexible attitude
  • Collaboration skills

The base salary range for this full-time position is $20/hr - $24/hr. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for a new hire in this position. The base pay actually offered to the successful candidate will take into account internal equity, work location, and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
Please note that base pay is only one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This range allows for the successful candidate to have an opportunity to progress within the position and develop at our company. This base pay range does not take into account bonuses, equity, or other benefits which may be applicable and are dependent on the level and position offered.
