Job description

Description & Requirements

As an intern in our Outsourced Accounting Services (OAS) group, you will gain valuable, real-world experience and exposure to a variety of accounting projects. You will work alongside our associate, senior, and management level colleagues. We believe this experience will give you valuable insight into public accounting opportunities beyond the traditional audit or tax paths.

To be successful in this role, you should enjoy solving problems, possess strong attention to detail, have a passion to learn real world accounting and finance skills while working alongside the best of the best. The OAS team utilizes cloud-based accounting platforms and software applications to provide recurring accounting and proactive advice to our clients. Your responsibilities could include the following areas.

How you will contribute: Dedicate time to client service while coordinating work for our clients in the following areas:

  • General ledger importing or synchronization
  • Accounts payable processing utilizing Bill.com
  • Payroll consulting and coordination with a 3rd party provider
  • Bank and credit card account reconciliations
  • Depreciation schedule preparation
  • Monthly and year-end trial balance closing assistance
  • Assist with monthly management reports and financial statements
  • Various virtual and on-site outsourced accounting services
  • Accounting system design and implementation of QuickBooks Online and Sage Intacct platforms
  • Various software application implementation projects

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Intern candidates must be working toward CPA Exam eligibility Satisfactory academic performance in major-related coursework is expected Interns must maintain a minimum cumulative overall GPA of 3.0 Must have reliable transportation to and from your assigned office and be able to attend off-site meetings and events in person

Hours Requirement:

We are able to be flexible with your school schedule providing you are able to:

  • Accommodate our normal business hours of Monday-Friday 8 am-5 pm
  • Commit to at least 20-25 hours per week

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Working toward a bachelor's or master’s degree in accounting from an accredited college or university.
  • Intern candidates must be working toward an accounting degree and CPA licensure eligibility
  • Interns must maintain a minimum cumulative overall GPA of 3.0
  • Must have reliable transportation to and from your assigned office and be able to attend off-site meetings and events in person
