Program Overview:

Our formal 10-week internship programs provide students with the opportunity to work on critical projects integral to our team's success. Interns work alongside some of the best minds in Real Estate, in an innovative, fast-paced environment and are expected to approach tasks and projects with dedication and initiative.

Our internship program connects students with industry leaders and provides foundational real estate knowledge through a speaker series and networking events. We focus on accelerating growth with hands-on professional development and training. Recognizing that real estate thrives on relationships, we create an engaging experience with volunteering, portfolio tours, and intern led activities, all designed to build collaboration and a connected cohort.


Responsibilities

This Accounting Summer Analyst will support the Operating and Development Accounting team and gain exposure to corporate accounting and financial reporting within a real estate development environment. Responsibilities may include:

  • Assisting with preparation of recurring monthly and quarterly journal entries.
  • Supporting general ledger review and account analysis.
  • Preparing bank reconciliations and monitoring cash activity.
  • Assisting with monthly capital call requisitions.
  • Reviewing and coding vendor invoices and helping coordinate invoice approvals.
  • Assisting in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and year-end work papers.
  • Supporting quarterly and annual financial reporting on a GAAP basis.
  • Assisting with audit requests and documentation for annual audits.
  • Preparing invoices for corporate entities.
  • Conducting financial analysis and participating in special projects as assigned.

Compensation:

The hourly rate for this position is $25.00-$30.00 per hour


Qualifications

Related Ross’s Summer Analyst Program aims to train and evaluate the next generation of leaders. To be considered for the 2026 Summer Analyst program, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Current undergraduate junior with a target graduation date between December 2026-Spring 2028
  • Actively pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
  • Excellent quantitative and analytical skills; expertise with excel.
  • Exhibits a strong understanding of technical skills and job specific knowledge.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Interest in real estate accounting.
  • Demonstrates clear and concise communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
  • Self-Starter with a proactive approach to tackling tasks and challenges.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and adapt to new challenged in a dynamic environment.
  • Resume must include expected graduation month/year and GPA.
  • Knowledge of accounting software (e.g. JD Edwards) is a plus.
