Thrive Wellness Counseling Center is seeking a fully licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our dedicated team focused on substance abuse treatment. • Conduct thorough assessments and screenings to determine clients' substance abuse histories, mental health status, and unique treatment needs.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that address both addiction and concurrent mental health conditions, ensuring alignment with best practices.
• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, employing evidence-based methods such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI) to foster client engagement.
• Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary team members, including medical professionals and case managers, to ensure integrated and holistic care for all clients.
• Provide educational resources and support to clients’ families, helping them to understand addiction and the recovery process, thereby promoting a supportive home environment.
• Maintain confidential and accurate client records as per regulatory and ethical standards, ensuring clear documentation of treatment progress and plans.

This role focuses on supporting individuals who are seeking recovery from substance abuse, often accompanied by co-occurring mental health disorders. Clients at Thrive Wellness come from diverse backgrounds, each with unique challenges and strengths. As a therapist, you will play a crucial role in empowering clients to overcome obstacles, guide them through their recovery process, and assist them in achieving sustainable wellness.

• A current and valid counseling license, such as LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or PsyD, is required.
• A master’s or doctoral degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
• Specialized training in addiction counseling and a comprehensive understanding of substance abuse treatment methodologies.
• Knowledge of evidence-based practices that address both substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health issues.
• Demonstrated therapeutic skills, including the ability to establish strong rapport with clients and motivate them toward recovery.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, crucial for teamwork with other professionals within the treatment setting.

• Experience in outpatient service delivery for addiction recovery.
• Proficiency with electronic health records and evidence-based intervention tools.
• Background in family systems therapy or dual diagnosis treatment.
