Work Environment

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients' substance use history, mental health conditions, and specific treatment needs.
  • Create and implement tailored treatment plans that address both addiction issues and co-occurring mental health disorders.
  • Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, employing evidence-based methodologies such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI) to empower clients during their recovery.
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary treatment team to ensure a cohesive approach to client care, sharing insights and strategies to enhance recovery outcomes.
  • Provide psychoeducation and support to clientsโ€™ families, equipping them with the knowledge to support their loved ones through the recovery process.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential client records in adherence with ethical and regulatory standards, actively participating in ongoing supervision and quality improvement initiatives.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with individuals seeking recovery from substance use disorders, which often accompany other mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, and trauma-related difficulties. Your expertise will be crucial in developing effective strategies for a diverse population of clients, ensuring each individual receives the nuanced support they deserve.

Qualifications
  • A valid and current license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).
  • A minimum of a masterโ€™s degree or doctoral degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related mental health field.
  • Recent certification or specialized training in addiction counseling techniques and substance abuse treatment strategies.
Preferred Experience
  • Proven track record in providing therapy for substance use disorders as well as experience managing co-occurring mental health issues.
  • Strong knowledge of and a commitment to evidence-based practices in addiction treatment.
