Key Responsibilities
  • Perform thorough assessments and screenings to gather essential information regarding clients' substance abuse history and mental health needs.
  • Design and implement individualized treatment plans that cater not only to addiction recovery but also to underlying psychological issues, utilizing evidence-based methodologies.
  • Lead engaging individual and group therapy sessions, fostering an environment where clients feel safe to share and learn coping strategies.
  • Work closely with other treatment team members to coordinate comprehensive care that aligns all treatment efforts.
  • Incorporate family members into the therapeutic process through education and support, recognizing their vital role in recovery.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary focus of this role will be individuals struggling with substance use disorders, many of whom also experience concurrent mental health challenges. Our clients come from diverse backgrounds and face unique obstacles in their recovery. As a licensed therapist, you will play a significant role in empowering them to pursue sustainable change in their lives, fostering resilience and hope.

Qualifications
  • A valid license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or a Doctorate in Psychology (PsyD).
  • A Masterโ€™s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a closely related field.
  • Strong knowledge of evidence-based practices concerning substance abuse treatment and dual diagnosis, ensuring that you apply appropriate therapeutic interventions.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills along with the ability to motivate and engage clients through their recovery processes.
  • Excellent communication skills to facilitate productive collaboration with team members and clients.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience providing therapy specifically in substance abuse counseling settings.
  • Direct experience in developing and executing treatment plans for clients with co-occurring disorders.
  • Familiarity with online counseling platforms and electronic health record systems to streamline documentation and client management.
