Territory Sales Representative - Subscription Sponsorship Sales - Base Salary to 65k/year - Lubbock, TX

  • Our client, a growing organization focused on community-based subscription and sponsorship sales, is seeking a Territory Sales Representative to manage a protected territory throughout West Texas. This is a home-based outside sales position focused on building relationships with local businesses that sponsor community outreach initiatives supporting families experiencing loss.
  • This position is ideal for an experienced B2B outside sales professional who enjoys working independently, traveling throughout a defined territory, and developing long-term relationships within small-town and rural communities. The West Texas territory offers a defined career path with the opportunity to advance into a Regional Sales Manager role within approximately 6 months to 1 year based on performance.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and grow a protected sales territory through new business development and relationship management.
  • Conduct approximately 50-60 face-to-face sales calls each week with funeral homes and prospective business sponsors.
  • Develop new business opportunities through prospecting, referrals, territory planning, and pipeline management.
  • Consistently close approximately 6-8 new sponsorship sales each week while actively working a market.
  • Maintain and renew existing sponsorship partnerships on a two-year renewal cycle.
  • Complete contracts, sales documentation, and weekly reporting accurately and on time.
  • Participate in ongoing coaching, ride-alongs, and training with sales leadership.
  • Represent the organization professionally while supporting its faith-based, community-focused mission.

Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of successful outside, face-to-face B2B sales experience.
  • Experience developing new business and managing a sales territory.
  • Comfortable selling within small-town or rural markets.
  • Ability to travel throughout West Texas, including overnight travel several nights per week (approximately 60-80% travel).
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel throughout the assigned territory using a reliable personal vehicle with required automobile insurance.
  • Demonstrated ability to overcome objections and succeed in a face-to-face sales environment.
  • Strong communication, relationship-building, and prospecting skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to work independently from a home office.
  • Alignment with the organization's faith-based, community-focused mission and values.

Compensation:

  • Base salary to 65k/year during the first-year ramp-up period with the opportunity to earn more through commissions.
  • Transition to a full commission compensation plan after approximately 15 months.
  • Top-performing sales representatives earn six-figure annual incomes.
  • $400 weekly travel reimbursement (rolling balance).
  • $500 monthly vehicle allowance.
  • Medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability coverage, 401k, and paid vacation.
  • Protected territory with opportunities for expansion and advancement into Regional Sales Manager.
  • Structured 3-6 week onboarding program including field training, mentorship, ride-alongs, and ongoing professional development.
  • Home-based position with daily travel throughout the assigned territory.
