HP Inc. is a global technology leader pioneering innovative solutions that revolutionize the way people work and live. Our Workforce Experience software platform is at the forefront of optimizing digital experiences in the workplace, comprising multiple modules designed to enhance workforce productivity andemployeeengagement.

About the position(Expert Software PM,Licensing & CompliancePlatform):

As an Expert Software Product Manager, you will lead complex product initiatives foundational to WXP, with primary ownership of licensing, entitlements, subscription management, and compliance-driven platform requirements. This role serves as the product lead for the systems and workflows that govern how licenses are created, provisioned, assigned, validated, and managed across direct and partner channels, while also ensuring the platform can scale operationally and support evolving business models. In parallel, this role will own product leadership for FedRAMP readiness from the WXP Product side, translating compliance requirements into clear product requirements, prioritizing development needs, and driving cross-functional alignment with engineering, architecture, security, legal, and business stakeholders. Success in this role requires strong systems thinking, the ability to navigate ambiguity, and the discipline to turn complex technical, operational, and compliance needs into executable roadmap outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and drive product requirements for complex licensing scenarios across direct, partner, and bundled offerings, including device-based entitlements, tenant-based subscriptions, bulk assignment, partner billing dependencies, and onboarding flows.

  • Lead WXP Product ownership for FedRAMP readiness by translating security and compliance requirements into clear product requirements, development priorities, and roadmap decisions in partnership with engineering, architecture, cybersecurity, and legal teams.

  • Partner closely with engineering, UX, architecture, operations, and business stakeholders to resolve complex design decisions, clarify tradeoffs, and deliver scalable platform capabilities that meet customer, partner, and regulatory needs.

  • Translate ambiguous customer, operational, and internal requirements into clear PRDs, decision frameworks, prioritized backlogs, and executable development plans.

  • Drive roadmap alignment for foundational platform capabilities such as entitlement management, auditability, compliance workflows, subscription lifecycle management, and integration points with upstream and downstream systems.

  • Represent the product area with senior stakeholders as the trusted expert for licensing architecture, entitlement strategy, compliance-related product requirements, and cross-functional execution risks.

Education and Experience:

  • Four-year or Graduate Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.

  • 7-10 years of experience in product management, software platform development, SaaS operations, or a related field, with meaningful experience owning complex cross-functional initiatives.

  • Strong background in SaaS licensing, entitlement management, subscription platforms, or adjacent platform infrastructure domains.

  • Experience translating business, technical, and operational complexity into clear product requirements, phased plans, and prioritized roadmaps.

  • Demonstrated ability to work across engineering, architecture, legal, security, and operations teams to drive alignment on ambiguous or high-impact initiatives.

  • Experience with compliance-driven product development, security requirements, or regulated environments such as FedRAMP, IRAP, or similar frameworks is highly desirable.

  • Strong analytical and systems-thinking skills, with the ability to identify dependencies, edge cases, operational risks, and scalability considerations.

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and influence stakeholders across technical and business functions.

  • Able to thrive in ambiguity, make sound tradeoff decisions, and independently drive progress on foundational platform initiatives.
