Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Subrogation Claims Specialist to be part of the newly established in-house subrogation team specializing in high-value claims (>$10K) and total losses. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Subrogation Claims, you will manage complex subrogation cases, ensure adherence to compliance standards, and drive recovery performance.

Your Role At SIXT

  • You investigate and manage high-value subrogation claims, including total loss cases, ensuring compliance with laws and policies and assess liability and pursue recovery through negotiations, arbitration, or other dispute resolution methods
  • You prepare detailed claim summaries and provide regular updates in the claims management system
  • You identify workflow inefficiencies and recommend enhancements to improve recovery rates and reduce cycle times
  • You collaborate with team members and management to establish best practices for subrogation claims and coordinate with external vendors and debt collection agencies for outsourced claims support
  • You review and audit vendor performance to ensure quality standards and adherence to service agreements
  • You document case progress, generate reports, and monitor KPIs to support departmental goals and initiatives

Your Skills Matter 

  • Experience You have 3+ years of experience in subrogation claims and laws or a related field with familiarity with rental car damage recovery (preferred) and a demonstrated expertise in handling high-value claims and total loss cases
  • Education You have a bachelor's degree in risk management, Business Administration, a concentration in insurance or a related field (preferred)
  • Technical Proficiency You are experienced and proficient in claims management systems (Arbs Forums, E-Subro Hub, Accurint, and/or LexisNexis)
  • Soft Skills You are a flexible problem solver with excellent troubleshooting skills to address and resolve issues efficiently. You are a self-starter with strong negotiation, problem-solving, decision-making abilities
  • Commitment to Excellence You consistently meet or exceed recovery targets and ensure timely and accurate handling of claims, contributing to team efficiency
  • Work Authorization You do not now, or in the future, require sponsorship and are authorized to work in the US
