An elite team of about 100 employees work on a variety of machines including mills, lathes, mill turn, and grinders to manufacture precision equipment for their customers.
With an emphasis on innovation and employee development, this is a truly unique role to work on an elite team of highly innovative individuals. What's more, this can be an opportunity to bring machining processes of incredibly complex items in house! The right candidate can take ownership of their grinding work by expanding their abilities with grinding machines.
This is a 1st shift position with a flexible start time of 6 AM on Monday- Friday. The goal to maintain a strong work-life balance.

Responsibilities
  • Set up, and operate CNC cylindrical grinders and some manual grinders
  • Set wheels, tooling and tables
  • Complete required work documents such as inspection sheets
  • Complete successful first article inspections
  • Maintain equipment, machines, and facilities

Qualifications
  • 5 years' experience, completion of a recognized CNC Programming/Machinist apprenticeship program, or equivalent combination of experience and education
  • Experience with OD, ID, and Axial grinding
  • Set up and operate CNC grinder machines
  • Experience with Studer and/or UVA grinding machines
  • Experience with complex contours
  • Knowledge of inspection tools including micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, gages, etc
  • Ability to read, understand, and translate blueprints and job orders
  • Knowledge of first article inspection
  • Some G-code knowledge on Kellenberger
  • Studer Win programming experience is a plus!
