Baton Rouge Community College (BRCC) 

Baton Rouge, Louisiana  

Championing School Spirit, Connecting with the Community, Representing BRCC with Excellence

Baton Rouge Community College is seeking enthusiastic and dependable students to serve as Maxwell, the official BRCC mascot, at campus and community events.

Maxwell Ambassadors represent the spirit, pride, and professionalism of BRCC while engaging students, faculty, staff, and community members 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Wear and perform as Maxwell at approved events
  • Maintain professional conduct while representing BRCC
  • Arrive on time and prepared for assigned events
  • Follow all costume handling and safety procedures
  • Return costume components immediately after events
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding mascot identity

Event Types May Include

  • Enrollment and recruiting events
  • Student Life activities
  • Athletic events (as requested)
  • Community outreach appearances
  • LCTCS or institutional conferences

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled BRCC student in good standing
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Comfortable engaging with crowds
  • Positive attitude and strong school spirit
  • Able to work evenings and weekends as needed
  • Physically able to wear mascot costume for 20-30-minute intervals
  • Able to follow instructions and brand guidelines

Preferred (Not Required)

Expectations

  • Attend required training session
  • Confirm availability 48 hours prior to events
  • Follow BRCC Student Code of Conduct
