Student Services Coordinator (Bilingual) - Kissimmee, FL
Excelon Associates is conducting a search on behalf of a private university client for a Student Services Coordinator based at the client's Kissimmee campus. The Student Services Coordinator actively promotes and develops career development training for students and employment opportunities for graduates.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Work to place students in the field for which they are trained
  • Conduct market outreach along with job and internship development
  • Develop and maintain employer and community contacts
  • Prepare student files and ensure completion of all necessary documentation
  • Provide career development opportunities for students on an ongoing basis
  • Develop, implement, and continuously enhance a Life Skills program as part of the curriculum
  • Maintain an accurate database of student and graduate files
  • Actively participate in on-campus events, programs, and promotions
  • Assist with coordination of the annual graduation ceremony
  • Assist with preparation of annual reports as required by regulatory agencies
  • Support the Career Services Director in achieving required placement statistics
  • Manage and update the job bank database
  • Proactively follow up with and track all graduates
  • Prepare students for and conduct exit interviews and portfolio reviews
Minimum Requirements
  • Completed Bachelor's degree, preferably in counseling, human resources, business administration, or a related field
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish, with the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Prior related experience in the staffing industry or a related industry preferred
  • Prior teaching experience in a postsecondary institution preferred
  • Persuasive communication skills with an orientation toward results
  • Ability to work extended hours, including evenings and weekends, to meet business objectives
