School Administrative Assistant

Hours: 8AM - 4PM

Job Title: Administrative Assistant
Summary:
Provide comprehensive administrative support to school leadership and staff. Manage daily office operations, coordinate communication, maintain student records, assist with supplies, and serve as the primary contact for parents, students, and visitors.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Administrative support experience (school setting preferred)
  • Experience with children with special needs a plus
  • Strong verbal/written communication and organizational skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality
  • Team player with the ability to work independently
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and general office technology
  • Comfortable with Canva and managing social media platforms
  • Able to pass a background check
  • Flexible, reliable, and proactive attitude 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage phones, greet visitors, and oversee front desk operations
  • Maintain accurate student records and handle documentation
  • Support hiring by screening calls and verifying references
  • Coordinate with staff, students, and vendors
  • Manage inventory and office/classroom supplies
  • Assist with student transportation and event planning
  • Update school social media and design flyers/newsletters
  • Ensure the facility is organized, safe, and well-maintained
  • Uphold professionalism, confidentiality, and a positive, inclusive environment

Physical Demands
  • Must have full physical dexterity/agility or be able to independently position self and perform all movements required (bending, kneeling, computer typing, standing, fetching documents from file cabinets).
  • Must have sufficient corrected or uncorrected vision to carry out all duties and responsibilities.
  • Need to be able to lift and carry pediatric population (weight ranging from 5 to 50 lbs.)
