As our firm continues to grow and expand, we are seeking an Associate Attorney to join our thriving Real Estate Law practice.

Goodspeed Merrill (GM) is seeking a Real Estate Associate to join its growing real estate practice. The successful candidate will be currently licensed in Colorado, have approximately 3 or more years of relevant real estate experience, and possess a strong desire to serve their clients. A portable book of business is a bonus, but not required.

What You'll Do

  • Execute projects in a timely and professional manner.
  • Build and nurture positive relationships with clients and team members.
  • Plan and accomplish goals with creativity and latitude while performing a variety of tasks under the general supervision of a partner or senior attorney.
  • Utilize experience with land use, multi/planned use development, and entitlement work to support ongoing firm projects.
  • Apply excellent drafting and analytical skills to formulate, evaluate, and execute legal strategies and solutions for clients.
  • Operate as a determined, professional, and proactive attorney, ensuring all matters are handled with a well-informed and attentive approach.
  • Manage commercial acquisitions and dispositions, including the detailed review and negotiation of title and surveys, and the handling of commercial leasing for office, warehouse, and retail properties.
  • Draft covenants and legal documentation related to commercial development, land use, and complex real estate transactions.

What We're Looking For

  • 3 or more years of relevant real estate experience
  • Juris Doctorate from an ABA accredited law school
  • Licensed to practice law in the state of Colorado

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary Range: $139,000 - $164,000 (commensurate with experience).
  • Quarterly Bonus Potential - from 3% to 16% of total realized revenue with no billable hour requirements. Bonuses are tied to clear objective metrics, offering substantial earning potential for high performers.
