Job description

Position Description
A student enrolled in an institution of higher education other than Texas Tech University or Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center employed to perform work as assigned by the supervisor.
Major/Essential Functions
  • Student assistants are responsible for circulating library materials using our computer system.
  • Must be able to assist students, faculty, and staff on the telephone and in-person regarding library services.
  • Student assistants will be tasked with minor clerical duties as well assisting patrons with minor computer, printer, and scanning issues.
  • This is a part-time position that requires the student assistant to work in Amarillo, Texas.

Schedule Details
Two evenings a week (Monday through Thursday 6:00pm to 11:00pm) and rotating weekends (Saturdays 9:00am to 5:00pm and Sundays 2:00pm to 10:00pm)
Pay Statement

Visa Information
TTUHSC, at its sole discretion, may initiate new H-1B I-129 visa petitions in accordance with the directive issued by Governor Abbott. Approval from the Texas Workforce Commission is required. On a limited, case-by-case basis, the institution may also sponsor eligible individuals for change-of-status or change-of-employer petitions for qualifying positions. TTUHSC will not pay the $100,000 fee, if applicable.
