Job Duties
  • Updates and maintains patron data in the Circulation module of the library ILS in support of the circulation of library materials.
  • Circulates library books, other library items, CHS and Reserves items; enters/clears hold information in COM student records in Ellucian Colleague; contacts patrons as needed.
  • Participates in online chat.
  • Answers routine and directional questions.
  • Sorts and re-shelve returned books, media, and other materials.
  • Answer the phone, organize files, and perform other routine clerical tasks.
  • Records statistics in the online analytics system.
  • Assists with student library scavenger hunts and tours.
  • Assists in organizing and maintaining library stacks and displays.
  • Assists patrons in locating library materials and using various library equipment.
  • Assists with opening/closing procedures on weekends and closing procedures in evenings.
  • Assists students/patrons in locating library materials.
  • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements
  • No or very limited physical effort required.

  • Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment.
