Job Summary
The Student Assistant will support the Library as a Collection Services Assistant on the Statesboro Campus beginning Fall 2026. The Student Assistant will support the Collection Management Team in preparing library resources for use by Georgia Southern University Library patrons.
Student employees cannot work more than 1300 hours in a 12-consecutive month period.
Responsibilities
  • Assists the department faculty and staff in tasks
  • Works with bibliographic, holdings, and item records in the Integrated Library System
  • Physically processes materials for library circulation
  • Works on departmental and library projects as assigned
  • Disseminates physical materials to appropriate library locations
Shift Specifics
  • Up to 15 hours per week
  • Flexible with schedule of availability
  • Minimum of 2-hour blocks
  • Shifts available Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements
  • Must be enrolled in six or more undergraduate credit hours or three or more graduate credit hours at Georgia Southern University.

  • Previous experience in a public or academic library
