Position Summary:The Student Service Coordinator (SSC) role is focused on delivering great service to our students at all times by providing product and service information, resolving product and service problems with an outcome that the student appreciates, and by ensuring each student's experience with EC exceeds their expectations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist students who are arriving too early or too late to check-in during regular hours (times vary depending on residence)
  • Resolve any low-level complaints and provide advice or assistance to students on arrival
  • Other related duties as assigned by Center management
  • This positionrequires you to work on weekendsand be accessible for emergency phone calls
  • Acts as the first point of contact and advisor for all students and visitors to the Center, ensuring they are all dealt with in a courteous and professional manner, providing the necessary advice and assistance, and effectively dealing with any requests and feedback
  • Responsible for working with the Center Director (CD) and Director of Studies (DOS) to generate and convert walk-in students
  • Responsible for the efficient running of the accommodation function including the allocation of residences and homestay families within the agreed timeframe set down by company policy, and maintaining an up-to-date system of all necessary records in line with company policy
  • Responsible for ensuring company and regulatory procedures are followed accurately and in a timely manner including student immigration requirements and statutory procedures (will be trained as DSO)
  • Oversees the planning, implementation, and promotion of student social activities, assisting students with their requirements in this area, including adult students and groups of high school-aged students
  • Continuously evaluates and identifies opportunities to drive process improvements and service applications that positively impact the student's experience, including management of Student Ambassador Program
  • Responsible for ensuring the smooth delivery of student "firsts" including airport transfers, arrival at residences, and homestay families, and the operational aspects of the student's first day in conjunction with other members of the team
  • Provides general administrative and record keeping support for the Center as directed by the Center Director
  • Assist with the collection of monies owed by the student as informed by Finance following company policy and procedure


Education Desired:

  • Degree in Hospitality Field is considered an asset
  • Knowledge of a language other than English is considered an asset


Experience Required:

  • Customer Service experience
  • Working in a multi-cultural environment


Experience Desired:

  • Has personally travelled as a language student
  • Customer Service experience within an EFL context or similar
