Position Summary

Under the direction of the Academic Compliance and Accountability Manager, the Student Aide will provide support under the specific functions of Processing SSRs, Registration Support, Reception, and Student Support. Other duties, tasks, and support as assigned. This position requires someone with a high degree of accuracy, timeliness, and production across the primary functions above.

Essential Functions

  • Processing SSRs: Communicate with students and their parents/guardians, accurately document interactions in the SSR log, and submit reports daily for processing.
  • Registration Support: Provide support during registration meetings, assist students in completing college applications, upload required documents, and address inquiries.
  • Reception: Answer phone calls professionally and promptly, respond to emails, assist walk-in visitors, and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Student Support: Address help tickets within 24 hours, participate in relevant training and professional development opportunities, and assist with student activities, recruitment, and registration efforts.
  • Duties, Tasks and Supports: Adhering to NSHS mission and core values; Following documented NSHS core processes; Utilizing and adhering to the NSHS escalation list; and providing for the overall general support of the organization

Nevada State High School is a public charter school network of approximately 1,000 students that provides 11th and 12th grade students with an early college experience. The school has eight locations in the Greater Las Vegas area, one location in Reno, and a central service office in Las Vegas.

Qualifications

  1. Work a maximum of 20 hours weekly from Monday through Friday.
  2. Must be a current NSHS student.
  3. Must be in great academic standing, with a green scorecard and Gold Level WorkKeys Score.
  4. Proficiency in Google Workspace.
  5. Must be eligible to pass federal and state background checks, including fingerprinting.
