Job description

Job Title: Surgical Technologist - Program Director

Full time / Hybrid - 8-5 pm

Location: 12230 Northwest Freeway, Houston, TX 77092

Summary

Work under supervision to standardize, coordinate and analyze assigned programs. Supervise staff and assist in day‑to‑day management operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Supervise and evaluate instructional staff
  • Direct advisory committee activities for program
  • Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations
  • Monitor instructor lesson plans and their posting
  • Screen instructional applicants
  • Review curriculum and textbooks with instructors, program managers, advisory board, and school director
  • Review student evaluations of instructors and programs, externship evaluations, employer surveys, and graduate surveys with the school director
  • Interview prospective students during enrollment process as needed
  • Conduct new student orientation as needed
  • Review completion and placement rates with placement manager and school director
  • Schedule in‑service training
  • Develop yearly start date calendar
  • Assist registrar in maintaining employee and student records
  • Monitor TWC, federal and accrediting standards compliance
  • Monitor policy/procedure compliance
  • Assist with new program development
  • Assist with student advising
  • Assist Campus President with administrative functions
  • Other jobs as assigned
Qualifications

Education / Experience
  • Surgical Technologist Associate degree
  • Minimum five years’ experience as Surgical Technologist
  • CST Certified Surgical Technologist – Certification Current
  • Ability to present a professional image and act as a role model
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines
