Position Overview

Great Basin Staffing LLC is actively hiring experienced Low Voltage Technicians (LVTs) for a major hyperscale Meta data center project in New Albany, Ohio.

This is not an entry-level cable-pulling position. We are seeking technicians with proven experience in structured cabling, fiber optics, data centers, network infrastructure, and large-scale telecommunications installations.

Responsibilities

  • Install, pull, route, and dress fiber-optic and copper cabling systems
  • Work with high-count fiber trunks and backbone cabling
  • Build out data halls, MDFs, IDFs, telecom rooms, and network pathways
  • Install and terminate CAT5e, CAT6, CAT6A, and fiber-optic cabling
  • Perform rack-and-stack activities
  • Install patch panels, ladder rack, cable tray, basket tray, and structured pathways
  • Label, test, and document cable installations
  • Maintain proper bend radius and fiber-handling procedures
  • Read blueprints, network drawings, pathway layouts, and installation details
  • Support commissioning and project turnover activities

Minimum Qualifications

  • 3+ years of structured cabling or low-voltage installation experience
  • Ability to independently pull, route, and dress fiber and copper cabling
  • Experience reading telecommunications drawings and pathway layouts
  • Familiarity with data center or large-scale construction environments
  • Ability to work safely and productively in an active construction environment
  • OSHA 10 preferred

Preferred Experience

  • Hyperscale data centers, including Meta, Google, Microsoft, AWS, QTS, Novva, Switch, or similar
  • Structured cabling systems
  • Fiber-optic installation and termination
  • Fusion splicing
  • OTDR and Fluke testing
  • Rack & stack
  • Network infrastructure deployment
  • Access control and security systems
  • Wireless Access Point (WAP) installation
  • Fiber testing and troubleshooting
