Job Purpose:

The Solution Consultant is responsible for developing and designing secure, scalable, network automation solutions that span sensor to cloud, utilizing Belden's best-in-class secure network switching, routing and wireless solutions. They are a critical business partner to our clients and sales teams by enabling IT / OT Convergence Solutions and Physical AI applications across focused industry verticals. This key position is responsible for helping fuel our solutions growth, leveraging Belden's full suite of products, solutions and services.

Successful Candidates Will:

  • Design high-performance physical infrastructure using structured cabling systems-Cat6/6a, fiber optic, patch panels, racks, connectors, and cabinets-as the reliable foundation for enterprise and industrial network solutions
  • Translate customer requirements into structured cabling designs with clear performance, scalability, and financial justification
  • Build and expand influence within enterprise IT teams, data center operators, facilities managers, EPCs, and system integrator communities across the AMS Region
  • Apply TIA/EIA and BICSI-aligned validated architectures to accelerate solution delivery and improve win rates
  • Propose integrated solutions that connect Belden's physical infrastructure with active networking, cybersecurity, and third-party elements
  • Deliver bookings from structured cabling solutions, professional installation services, and SLA-backed support programs
  • Develop proof-of-concepts that demonstrate the operational and financial impact of a well-engineered physical layer
  • Provide feedback on emerging physical infrastructure trends and process improvement priorities to cross-functional teams

Education & Experience

  • 5-7 years of experience designing or implementing structured cabling and physical infrastructure solutions for enterprise, data center, healthcare, or commercial environments
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Communications, or related field preferred; BICSI RCDD or equivalent certification highly valued
  • Strong knowledge of TIA/EIA cabling standards, ANSI/TIA-942 data center infrastructure, and physical layer best practices
  • Proven track record engaging IT directors, facilities managers, EPCs, and system integrators in a consultative capacity
  • Experience producing structured deliverables: scope of work, physical topology diagrams, bill of materials, and service proposals

Abilities

  • Communicate the strategic value of physical infrastructure investment to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Stay current on emerging technologies including high-density fiber, 25/40GBase-T, and evolving data center architectures
  • Apply strong analytical skills within a metric-driven, fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrate a proactive, pragmatic approach with the ability to manage multiple client engagements simultaneously
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required (50%+ travel frequency)

Applicants can expect a base compensation range of $120,000-160,000.00 plus benefits and additional incentives based on the level of the role.
