Customer Service Representative - Datacom Solutions
Indianapolis, IN

At Kirby Risk Electrical Supply, our Customer Service Representatives play a vital role in helping customers get the products and solutions they need-on time, every time. You'll join a team that values accuracy, collaboration, and a commitment to excellence.
What You'll Do as a Customer Service Representative
In this multi-faceted role, you'll be the go-to contact for customer needs, providing top-tier support and ensuring every interaction reflects the Kirby Risk standard of service.
You'll:
  • Deliver outstanding customer service-exceeding expectations and honoring every commitment.
  • Partner with outside sales to support customers and strengthen relationships.
  • Coordinate with vendors to ensure products are delivered accurately and on schedule.
  • Support corporate marketing efforts such as product launches and training events.
  • Engage in a variety of responsibilities, including:
    • Counter and Inside Sales
    • Warehousing and Inventory Management
    • Vendor and Customer Communications
    • Order Entry and Product Support

What Makes You a Great Fit
  • College coursework and/or 2+ years of relevant work experience
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities
  • Quick learner who's eager to grow and apply new knowledge
  • Experience in business-to-business sales or electrical distribution preferred
What to Expect in This Role
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Comfort with multi-line phone systems and warehouse operations
  • Experience with inventory management and loading/unloading shipments
  • Forklift experience a plus
  • Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7 am-5 pm, with overtime as needed
