The Datacom Solutions Specialist Associate delivers specialized technical solutions and services to our customers. You will develop expert knowledge of our Datacom product offerings and seamlessly integrate these tools into customer environments. Working closely with inside and outside sales teams, you will serve as the go-to technical resource to drive business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Support & Tracking
  • Guide Selections: Help outside sales teams and customers choose the right Datacom products.
  • Inform Decisions: Explain complex technical features clearly to assist customer purchasing.
  • Identify Opportunities: Research and target key customer contacts and industry insights.
  • Track Pipeline: Assist in moving sales opportunities through the pipeline to closure.

Customer Service
  • Follow Up: Maintain proactive, accurate communication with customers post-sale.
  • Resolve Issues: Troubleshoot and resolve technical or service concerns quickly.
  • Product Research: Conduct deep-dive research to answer specific product questions.
  • Deliver Information: Provide clear documentation and specifications to clients.

Product Services
  • Manage Contracts: Maintain an accurate database of vendor contracts and agreements.
  • Integrate Solutions: Complete design and technical work to integrate recommendations.
  • Provide Training: Deliver technical support and training for seamless product adoption.
  • Expand Expertise: Continuously build knowledge of Datacom applications and trends

Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in related field or at least 4 years related experience
  • Commitment to and demonstration of high ethical standards governing professional behavior and interactions.
  • Proven proficiency in the use of a personal computer accompanied by a strong aptitude for technical applications.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of technical products and applications.
  • Ability to maintain flexible working hours to meet department needs.
  • Ability to work well alone and in a team environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents.
  • Demonstrated time management and organizational skills, including an ability to plan and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Proven attentiveness to detail coupled with problem analysis and resolution skills.
  • Proven proficiency in the use of Microsoft's suite of software.
  • Ability to navigate and utilize the Internet in performing job functions.
  • Ability to work well alone and in a team environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, conveying a message clearly and concisely, in written, verbal and presentation methods.
