Job description

  • Pulls Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6a cables and fiber optic cabling systems.
  • Installation of data equipment, including data racks, patch panels, cable trays, high level understanding of IDF, MDF and Data Center build out
  • Utilizes appropriate testing equipment to test installed cables.
  • Operates a variety of tools, such as hand tools, power tools, ladders, scissor lifts, and cabling test equipment
  • Performs termination and testing of new cabling
  • Builds and installs racks, dresses and terminates closets, carries out tests and troubleshoots
  • Work at heights above ceiling and small confined spaces.
  • Able to review floor plans, line diagrams and rack elevations to ensure successful installation
  • Leave each job site clean and organized at the end of each day and spot checked at the completion of each project
  • They should have strong analytical and problem-solving skills. technicians should be able to work with a team or independently.
