Job description

Agilix Solutions is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented individual to join our Bartlett, TN team for the role of Construction Inside Sales. In this full-time role, you’ll work closely with electrical contractors, manage order entry and quotes, be the “go-to” resource for expertise and knowledge of all product lines, be responsible for managing direct customer relationships at our retail counter, process orders in the business system, and deliver exceptional customer service.

This role will report to the Vice President of Branch Support Services.

Responsibilities

  • Work with electrical contractors to drive sales growth within the assigned market.
  • Daily inbound calls from customers in a fast-paced, customer driven environment.
  • Follow-up on customer orders and quotes after the sale to ensure they are completed accurately and on time.
  • Enter quotes and sales orders with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Communicate with Outside Sales to identify and target customer needs, issues that need to be addressed, and provide solutions for customers.
  • Communicates with Warehouse Team to fulfill customer needs on orders and deliveries.
  • Ability and desire to promote and profitably sell products and services within the electrical contractor space.
  • Service our walk-in customers at the sales counter.
  • Provide telephone support for counter customers who call in.
  • Keep an accurate account of counter order paperwork and petty cash.

Qualifications

  • Preferred: Experience in electrical distribution.
  • Quick response time and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to promote products to meet and upsell customer needs.
  • Strong teamwork skills, with the ability to execute company strategies aimed at reaching new and existing customers.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.).
  • A strong desire to learn and gain an edge in the electrical industry, particularly in Electrical Construction and Sales.


Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
