Description

The Cable Technician plays a vital role in the installation, maintenance, and repair of fiber optic and coaxial cable systems across diverse environments, including residential properties, office buildings, and large commercial facilities. This position ensures the reliable delivery of high-speed internet and communication services.

Primary Responsibilities

Install, troubleshoot, and maintain fiber optic systems to ensure peak performance.

Perform precise splicing of coaxial cables across various types and sizes.

Execute efficient splicing for aerial and underground installations, including span replacements, single-dwelling units (SDUs), small to medium-sized businesses (SMBs), and relocation projects.

Identify and replace damaged or obsolete fiber optic infrastructure.

Diagnose and resolve connectivity issues in fiber networks.

Evaluate job sites to mitigate risks associated with faulty installations.

Monitor and document signal strength for services such as television, internet, and telephone.

Conduct live splicing on active devices with accuracy and minimal disruption.

Maintain and update network documentation, including system layouts and design schematics.

Educate customers on installed services and assist with the setup of personal equipment.

Pay and Benefits
