As a Project Engineer at Ware Malcomb, you will support the delivery of innovative commercial and residential land development projects from inception to completion. You will prepare design reports and analyses, perform code searches, create a complete set of contract documents, and provide construction services including site visits and reviewing shop drawings. This is a great opportunity to collaborate with clients, consultants, contractors, and our dynamic team while advancing your engineering career.

Your Role
  • Work with the project team to prepare technical drawings (Site Plans, Grading Plans, Utility Plans, Erosion Control Plans, and Stormwater Management Design) for use in permitting and construction.
  • Assist PM to plan, schedule, conduct and coordinate each of the phases of the project.
  • Prepare stormwater calculations, assist in processing permits.
  • Provide construction phase services (Site visits, review shop drawings).
  • Assist in reviewing local, county, state, and federal project codes for each project.
  • Work with the Ware Malcomb consultants and the client's consultants to coordinate all of the various consultants to achieve a complete, coordinated set of contract documents and specifications which will be used for permit and construction.ย 
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience within the Civil Engineering field
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related program is required
  • EI (Engineering Intern) Certificate required
  • Experience working on land / site development projects required.
  • Experience drafting stormwater drainage reports and completing drainage design using H&H stormwater modeling software such as ICPR (StormWise), PONDS, HydroCAD, and/or Hydraflow for Florida projects preferred.
  • Experience preparing Site Plans, Grading Plans, and Utility Plan and Profiles in Florida preferred.
  • Knowledge of BMP Trains a plus.
  • Strong AutoCAD and Civil3D skills required
  • Strong computer and written and verbal communication skills are essential.ย
