Who are we looking for?   

We're looking for a Structural Engineering Intern to join our Engineering Design Organization! As an Intern with our Structural Engineering team, you will assist with the engineering design, evaluation and implementation of structures associated water and wastewater infrastructure, industrial, property and building and government/department of defense projects.

Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:

  • Assisting Engineers by performing the routine aspects for engineering assignments

  • Performing design calculations, sketches and technical comparisons

  • Reviewing and editing project specifications

  • Preparing and editing designs and drawings recommended by Project Engineers

  • Preparing portions of project documents

  • Researching code and regulatory requirements

  • Researching design options, component specifications and document findings for Project Engineers and Job Manager

  • Responding to contractor's questions and preparing alternate designs as needed under the guidance of Project Engineers

  • Performing analysis and design retrofit of new and existing utilities.

What you will bring to the team:

  • Actively enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program focused on Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering

  • Previous Internship experience is a plus but not required

  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD; Revit knowledge a plus

  • Knowledge of modeling and design software as applicable
