Role Overview

We are seeking a motivated Civil Engineering student with an interest in structural design to join our team as an Engineering Intern - Civil & Structural. In this role, you will collaborate with experienced engineers and technical staff to support the design and execution of projects, helping ensure they are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with applicable codes and standards. This internship offers handson experience on realworld projects and an opportunity to build foundational skills in a dynamic, teamoriented engineering environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Demonstrates our core competencies: Action oriented, change champion, customer-focused, developing self & others, and ownership
  • Assist in the design and structural analysis of steel structures and concrete foundations
  • Prepare calculations, drawings, and reports under the guidance of structural engineers
  • Prepare and review engineering technical requirements to support the overall project proposal and bid strategy
  • Review customer specifications and prepare technical clarifications and deviations
  • Prepare and review budgets, bids, technical requirements, and commercial requirements
  • Plan and review deliverable schedules, including project documentation and equipment
  • Work with suppliers to develop budgets and pricing estimates
  • Ensure arrangement and foundation interface information meets requirements
  • Interface with internal and external teams to ensure that design interface information for structural commodities is accurate and properly accounted for
  • Establish corrective actions to reduce nonconformances and improve quality
Requirements
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on Structural Engineering.
  • EngineerinTraining (EIT) certification preferred.
  • Relevant coursework preferred, including Mechanics of Materials, Structural Analysis, Reinforced Concrete Design, and Steel Structure Design.
  • Familiarity with industry codes and standards such as ASCE 7, AISC 360, and ACI 318 preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, PowerPoint, Visio, Acrobat Writer, and Excel.
  • Basic knowledge of databases, project management tools, graphics, technical diagrams, and flowcharting software.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and criticalthinking skills.
