Overview

Beebe Healthcare is seeking a dynamic Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM) to support our Medical/Surgical Oncology Unit. This full-time leadership opportunity is ideal for a registered nurse with strong clinical expertise and leadership skills who is ready to advance in their career.

In this role, the Assistant Nurse Manager collaborates closely with the Nurse Manager to plan, organize, and implement high-quality patient care services. The ANM will assist in fiscal management, performance improvement initiatives, and compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards. Additional responsibilities include:

  • Supporting all aspects of personnel management, including staff development, scheduling, and performance evaluations.

  • Promoting effective communication, teamwork, and collaboration across all departments.

  • Driving clinical excellence through continuous improvement projects and patient-centered initiatives.

  • Assisting in making timely decisions, managing change, and serving as a trusted resource for staff.

  • Acting as bench strength for the Nurse Manager role, ensuring seamless leadership coverage and operational success.

This position is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Registered Nurse seeking to transition to a nursing leadership role and who thrives in a fast-paced environment, and who is committed to enhancing patient outcomes and staff engagement.

Responsibilities
  • Assists the Nurse Manager in assessment, skill proficiency evaluation, equipment and supply management, patient satisfaction initiatives, staffing, and scheduling. 
  • Supports the Nurse Manager in overseeing the unit. 
  • Assists with the management of personnel processes, including but not limited to hiring, training, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions. 
  • Ensures compliance with all relevant policies, procedures, and regulations. 
  • Effectively communicates information to staff, patients, and other stakeholders. 
  • Assists the Nurse Manager in making timely decisions and managing change processes.
  •  Collaborates with all departments as part of the management team. 
  • Utilizes a personal cell phone for business purposes. 
Qualifications
  • Experience in hospital or acute care setting. 
  • Completion of Fundamentals of Chemotherapy and Immunotherapy Administration online course (within 6 months of hire). 
  • ACLS certification (within 6 months of hire). 
Competencies Skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding patients and team members. 
  • Ability to manage crisis situations effectively. 
  • Proven ability to provide excellent customer service to patients, team members, and visitors. 
  • Knowledge and experience with electronic health records.
  • Proficiency in CPR. 
Credentials

Essential: 

  •  Registered Nurse (RN) license. 
  •  Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. 
  •  NIH Stroke Certification. 
Education

Essential:

  •  Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (Magnet Recognition preferred). 
  •  OR RN Diploma/RN Graduate Program + Bachelor's Degree in a related field. 
  •  Active pursuit of a Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) if not already possessing a BSN.
