Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY
Regents School of Austin's Department of Advancement exists to cultivate a Christ-centered culture of generosity that advances the mission, community, and long-term sustainability of the school. Grounded in Scripture, we seek to foster a Gospel-centered community marked by grace, truth, and joyful stewardship of time, talents, and resources (Matthew 6:3-4; Matthew 14:13-21; Luke 21:1-4).
The Development Manager plays a key strategic and operational role in executing the school's fundraising initiatives and strengthening engagement across the Regents community. In close partnership with the Director of Advancement, this role leads the planning and execution of fundraising events, equips and shepherds volunteer leaders, and ensures excellence in donor stewardship and data integrity.
This position serves as a bridge between vision and execution-translating Advancement priorities into well-coordinated events, meaningful donor experiences, and effective fundraising systems that support the school's mission.
PRINCIPLES FOR CONDUCTING WORK
  • Pursue full devotion to Christ and live a life that reflects joyful obedience to Him.
  • Model the fruits of the Spirit in communication, relationships, and daily work.
  • Demonstrate teachability, a positive attitude, and a willing heart for service.
  • Embody other-centered servant leadership in all interactions.
  • Prioritize important, mission-driven work rather than the merely urgent.
  • Maintain clear and gracious communication with students, colleagues, and parents.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Fundraising Strategy & Event Leadership
  • Execute Advancement fundraising strategies through the planning and management of all school-wide fundraising events
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and support to parent volunteers serving as event chairs, equipping them for success while ensuring alignment with Regents' mission and standards
  • Partner with the Director of Advancement to evaluate event effectiveness and identify opportunities for growth and improvement
  • Oversee vendor selection, contract review, and relationship management to ensure quality and stewardship of resources
  • Collaborate with Communications to develop cohesive messaging and promotional materials that reflect the Regents' brand and mission
  • Manage event registration systems and provide timely reporting and analysis

Donor Stewardship & Data Management
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of gifts in coordination with the Business Office
  • Maintain the integrity of the donor database, including ongoing data management and updates
  • Produce regular reports and analytics to inform the Advancement strategy and decision-making
  • Prepare and distribute year-end giving statements and donor summaries
  • Support a culture of gratitude and stewardship through excellent donor communication and reporting practices

Volunteer Leadership & Community Engagement
  • Shepherd and support volunteers in a manner consistent with the Regents' commitment to servant leadership
  • Educate and equip volunteers on the philosophy of Biblical generosity and the school's approach to fundraising
  • Cultivate strong relationships with parents, donors, and community members to deepen engagement and participation

Advancement & Community Support
  • Support key school events, including All-School Chapels, Senior Thesis, Families Helping Families, Regents Cup, and the Momentum Capital Campaign
  • Collaborate across departments to ensure alignment and excellence in community-facing initiatives
  • Participate in Advancement planning and contribute to a cohesive, mission-driven strategy

Faith Alignment:
All Regents staff and volunteers must subscribe to our Purpose, Mission, Philosophy, Objectives, and Doctrinal Statement (Article II). Board-adopted statements providing additional clarity include:
  • Chicago Statement on Biblical Inerrancy
  • Nashville Statement: A Coalition for Biblical Sexuality
