Summary:

Serves as a senior strategic planner supporting Army operational planning, theater campaign planning, readiness assessments, contingency planning, and strategic sustainment operations.


Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

  • Analyze national strategy, Army guidance, and theater campaign plans.
  • Support development of operational plans and contingency plans.
  • Assess strategic risks, readiness impacts, and sustainment requirements.
  • Coordinate planning efforts with HQDA, Combatant Commands, ASCCs, and AMC organizations.
  • Support crisis action planning and deliberate planning processes.
  • Prepare executive briefings and recommendations for senior Army leadership.

Qualifications

Necessary Skills and Knowledge:

  • Strong analytical and communication skills.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Strategic Studies, Military Operations, Logistics, National Security, or related field.
  • Minimum 15 years of senior Army planning experience.
  • Minimum 5 years supporting theater campaign planning.
  • Experience supporting Joint Staff, Combatant Commands, ASCCs, or HQDA.
  • Clearance: Top Secret

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Former G3, G5, G7, Joint Planner, or Combatant Command planner.
