Job description

Audubon is currently seeking a Strategic Projects Manager to join our growing Data Center team. We are entrepreneurial minded company and are looking for a growth-focused Strategic Projects Manager who is a seller-doer. You will be accountable for regional business development with new and existing clients as well as the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of assigned projects ensuring consistency with Audubon's company strategy, commitments, and goals. This position reports to the Director of Advanced Facilities.
In this role, the Strategic Projects Manager will be responsible for growth and project management of a new Advanced Facilities region in Texas, USA. You will source and meet with clients, both new and existing, develop relationships, and be the face of Audubon Advanced Facilities in that region. As project opportunities arise, you'll put your PM skills to good use by supporting the client through the project process. Being local to Texas is strongly preferred, but remote is an option as well. If remote, there is a requirement to be within a half days travel distance to meet with clients and check on projects. Travel is expected to be 25%-50% initially, with a reduction to 25% or less as the region grows (location/client dependent).
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Manage internal Customer Relations Management (CRM) system for your clients/region
  • Business Development (BD) with new and existing clients
  • Determine and define project scope and objectives
  • Predict resources needed to reach objectives and manage resources in an effective and efficient manner
  • Prepare budget based on scope of work and resource requirements
  • Develop and manage a detailed project schedule and work plan
  • Track project costs in order to meet budget
  • Provide project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress
  • Utilize industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout entire project execution
  • Monitor progress and make adjustments as needed
  • Measure project performance to identify areas for improvement

EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
  • 5-8+ years' of project management and field experience working in data center or similar critical industries
  • Strong self-motivation
  • Proven ability to solve problems creatively
  • Excels in a highly-dynamic and ambiguous environment
  • Strong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices
  • Experience with full life-cycle projects - Conception through commissioning
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to complete projects according to outlined scope, budget, and timeline
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred
  • BD experience preferred
