Job description

We are seeking a strategic Project Manager to lead key public health interoperability and healthcare IT initiatives. If you have a background in health informatics, system integration, and stakeholder management, this position is for you!

Location & Work Arrangement

  • Location: Lansing, MI (Must live within 1.5 hours of Lansing at time of submission)
  • Work Arrangement: Hybrid (2 days/week onsite required: Wednesdays & Thursdays)

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee planning, implementation, and evaluation of healthcare data-exchange projects.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure public health interoperability goals are met.
  • Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA and healthcare privacy regulations.
  • Drive stakeholder engagement, risk mitigation, and adoption of clinical workflow tools.

Key Requirements & Essential Skills

Required:

  • 8+ years of Project Management experience (preferably in Public Health or Healthcare IT).
  • PMP Certification (Required).
  • Bachelor's Degree in Public Health, Health Informatics, or a related field (Master's preferred).
  • Expertise in Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies.

Preferred / Highly Valued:

  • Hands-on experience with public health programs, clinical systems, or IT infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with health data standards and HIPAA compliance.
  • CAPM or Agile certifications.
