About this opportunity

Owen-Ames-Kimball Co. is hiring a Senior Project Manager in our Grand Rapids office to lead the successful delivery of large, complex commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. This role provides strategic project leadership, overseeing budgets, contracts, schedules, and team coordination while ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards. The Senior Project Manager also mentors project team members and helps drive consistency and excellence across the organization.

What youll do

  • Lead all phases of project delivery, including preconstruction, design coordination, procurement, construction, and closeout
  • Oversee budgets, cost projections, pay applications, change management, and financial reporting
  • Direct subcontractor procurement, negotiations, and contract execution
  • Partner with superintendents and preconstruction teams to develop schedules, sequencing plans, and project strategies
  • Coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, and consultants to resolve design and construction challenges
  • Ensure quality, safety, and contract compliance across all project activities
  • Manage risk by proactively identifying issues and implementing mitigation strategies
  • Mentor and support Project Managers and project team members to strengthen overall performance

  • 10+ years of commercial construction experience with proven success leading complex projects
