The Global Strategy, Process & Capabilities team is responsible for defining and executing the strategic direction of Supply Chain Factory Services (SCFS). We lead business transformation initiatives that drive growth, operational excellence, automation, AI adoption, and the expansion of Factory Services capabilities across HP's global manufacturing network.

Our mission is to improve customer outcomes, simplify operations, enable scalable growth, and transform how Factory Services operates through process excellence, analytics, digital solutions, and strategic program leadership.

We are seeking a highly motivated Engineering Program Manager who thrives in ambiguity, enjoys solving complex business challenges, and is passionate about driving measurable business impact. This role will partner with stakeholders across Product Management, Operations, Factory Engineering, Technical Consultants, Category, IT, Manufacturing, Finance, and executive leadership to shape and deliver the next generation of Factory Services capabilities.

This role is responsible for providing leadership to individual contributors, identifying opportunities for process improvement, collaborating with various stakeholders, and managing R&D of new technologies. The role applies advanced subject matter knowledge to proactively improve the processes, reduce costs, drive schedules and resolve issues. The role is also responsible for people-care management, recruitment, and career development.

What you'll do as an Engineering Project/Program Manager

Solve problems!

  • Drive end-to-end process redesign efforts utilizing Lean, Agile, Design Thinking, and Change Management methodologies.
  • Evaluate current-state processes, identify improvement opportunities, and implement sustainable solutions.
  • Support deployment of global standard processes, systems, and governance models.
  • Partner with IT and business teams to define requirements and deliver digital solutions.
  • Drive automation and integration initiatives that eliminate manual work and reduce process complexity.
  • Identify and implement AI-enabled opportunities that improve business performance, decision-making, and employee productivity.
  • Support the evolution of strategic platforms such as Fiji and future Factory Services technologies.
  • Utilize data to identify trends, root causes, risks, and opportunities.
  • Develop executive-level reporting, dashboards, and performance metrics.
  • Convert operational data into actionable recommendations for leadership decision-making.
  • Support business reviews, strategic planning, forecasting, and performance management activities.
  • Serve as a focal point for introducing new capabilities, services, and operational models.
  • Coordinate global stakeholder alignment, readiness planning, and implementation activities.
  • Ensure new solutions are scalable, measurable, and aligned with strategic objectives.
  • Build concise, data-driven presentations for executive audiences.
  • Communicate program status, risks, decisions, and recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Influence stakeholders without direct authority across multiple functions and regions.
  • Lead workshops, strategic planning sessions, and governance forums.
  • Drive organizational adoption and behavioral change associated with new processes, tools, and business models.
  • Develop communication, training, and stakeholder engagement plans.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Provides direct and ongoing leadership for a team of individual contributors coordinating, managing, and leading programs to drive the engineering development and implementation of products and service offerings.
  • Acts as subject matter expert, identifies opportunities for process improvement and policy development and recommends changes in alignment with business tactics and strategy.
  • Manages headcount, deliverables, schedules, and costs for multiple ongoing projects, ensuring that resources are appropriately allocated and that goals, objectives, timelines, and budgets are met in accordance with program and organizational roadmaps.
  • Establishes technology and product goals in collaboration with tech leads, partners, clients, and executive leadership.
  • Uses communication and program management skills to drive schedules and resolve issues across multiple projects, technology nodes, and sites.
  • Communicates project status and escalates issues to direct managers, program managers, and internal and external development partners.
  • Manages relationships with outsourced partners and suppliers, including setting expectations regarding deliverables, product quality, schedules, and costs, and ensures that team members are effectively communicating and collaborating with outsourced resources.
  • Proactively identifies opportunities for process improvement and cost reductions opportunities.
  • Technically leads and/or executes engineering projects and spearheads research and development of new technologies, as appropriate.
  • Provides people-care management for assigned team members, including hiring, setting and monitoring of annual performance plans, coaching, and career development; ensures that proper knowledge and career development tools are in place to support ongoing team member and process development.

  • Demonstrates a quality-first, metrics-driven mindset, leveraging KPIs and data insights to continuously improve processes, performance, and business outcomes.
  • Demonstrates foundational knowledge of AI principles, including generative AI concepts, data-driven insights, and responsible AI usage; prior exposure or training preferred.

Preferred Technical & Functional Experience

  • PMI PMP, PMI-ACP, Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or equivalent certifications preferred.
  • Experience leading Agile programs and digital transformation initiatives.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing, supply chain operations, and Factory Services processes.
  • Experience with:
    • SAP
    • PLM/PDM systems
    • BOM management
    • New Product Introduction (NPI)

  • Strong Power BI, Excel, and data visualization skills.
  • Experience with:

Education and Experience Required

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field.
  • Typically 12+ years of professional experience.
  • Typically 8+ years leading cross-functional projects or programs.
  • Experience managing medium-to-large scale business transformation initiatives.
  • Experience working across multiple supply chain functions.
  • Experience driving process improvement and operational excellence programs.
  • Advanced experience with analytics, reporting, and executive communications. Preferred:
    • PMP Certification.
    • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or higher.
    • AI, Data Analytics, Agile, or Change Management certifications.

Pay & Benefits

The pay range for this role is $130,700 to $205,200 USD annually with additional

opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to United
