Job description

Job Title: Executive Assistant

Location: Rio Rancho, New Mexico
Position Type: Independent Contract/Flextime
Salary Range: $28/hour  – $35/ hour (Based on experience)

Job Overview: As the Executive Assistant to the Owner of Rio Rancho Road Runners, LLC, you will serve as the primary strategic partner, liaison, network developer and gatekeeper for Roady's Village (visit roadysvillage.com). In this high-impact role, you will do more than manage a schedule—you will actively foster, protect, and strengthen critical business relationships with sponsors, community leaders, vendors, and regional partners to maximize the reach and impact of Roady’s Village.

Key Responsibilities

  • Relationship & Liaison Management: Act as the primary point of contact for external partners, managing incoming requests and cultivating positive, professional connections on behalf of the Owner of Rio Rancho Road Runners.
  • Strategic Communication: Draft high-level correspondence, follow up on key business developments, and ensure external stakeholders receive timely, polished communications.
  • Network & Event Coordination: Organize and facilitate networking meetings, sponsor gatherings, and community partnership events to be hosted by Rio Rancho Road Runners.
  • Transparent Recordkeeping: Maintain detailed contemporaneous records of significant business activity.
  • Calendar & Gatekeeping: Manage complex schedules, prioritize high-value meetings, and protect the Owner’s time to focus on strategic growth.
  • Project Tracking: Monitor deliverables across departments and ensure external commitments to partners are met on schedule.

Qualifications

  • Experience: 3+ years in an Executive Assistant, Relationship Management, or Account Coordination role.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Exceptional emotional intelligence, diplomacy, and the ability to confidently interface with corporate sponsors and city leaders.
  • Communication: Masterful written and verbal communication skills with a natural talent for relationship-building.
  • Tech Skills: Proficiency with Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and CRM or project management tools.
  • Discretion: Absolute confidentiality regarding sensitive business deals, partnerships, and personal data.
