Position Title: International Programs Strategy Operations Manager

Department: International Programs Strategy Operations

Reports to: Director, International Programs Strategy Operations

Position Location: Remote


Position Summary:

In conjunction with the International Programs Group, the International Programs Strategy Operations Manager supports the multi-year program planning and strategy of the International Program Strategy Operations Team. The role maintains a continual focus on developing, monitoring, and managing the multi-year program strategy, policies, and operating procedures.

These strategies reflect proper stewardship of aid resources, program growth, and organizational planning and optimization. The position requires active synergy with key stakeholders in each vertical of the IPG Team to promote synchronization between international cash projects, foundation grants, holistic programs, and material aid programming. 


 

Educational or Certification Requirements:

·        B.A. in international relations, business administration, health, education, and/or related disciplines; M.A. a plus.

Experience Requirements:

·        Five or more years of experience living and working in relief/development program oversight or related field, in developing countries, or

·        Five years developing and implementing programs in a cross-cultural setting.

Knowledge, Skills, & Character Required:

·        Is a consistent witness for Jesus Christ; maintains a courteous, Christ-like attitude in dealing with people within and outside of the ministry.

·        Feels a calling to serve God through serving Cross Catholic Outreach in this capacity.

·        Believes in and supports the mission and ministry of Cross Catholic Outreach and agrees with the conduct policies and conduct expectations of Cross Catholic Outreach.

·        Familiarity with NGO development and marketing procedures and practices.

·        Knowledgeable of various fundraising initiatives and communication needs.

·        Possess a high degree of computer literacy with the ability to use existing technology. Fluent in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).

·        Proficient in Power BI and experienced in managing and updating source data.

·        Demonstrate foreign cultural awareness/sensitivity.

·        Strong program experience and the ability to work alongside partners to develop intricate, multi‐sector, multi‐year program vision strategies.

·        Proven ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, resolve problems quickly, work independently, and take initiative in driving projects to completion.

·        Strong communication and documentation skills (both oral and written).

·        Employ effective time management skills to meet all deadlines.

·        High aptitude for problem-solving and developing program capacity and compliance.

·        Ability to speak multiple languages, a plus. Spanish preferred.  

·        Commitment to professional ethics with highly confidential and sensitive information.

·        Ability to work well in team environments. Possess excellent interpersonal skills and diplomacy when interfacing with varying levels of personnel.

·        Experienced traveler in developing countries. Position requires approx. 30% international travel. In addition to international travel, this position may require occasional domestic travel to attend meetings, training, conferences, or organizational events. Travel may be conducted by airplane, automobile, bus, or other reasonable means. Travel frequency is scheduled in advance when possible.

·        This role requires the ability to perform standard office functions, including prolonged sitting, standing, and computer use. Occasional lifting, carrying, or moving materials weighing up to 50 pounds may be required.

Duties:

·        Liaison for IPG and the Philanthropic Department within Development to portray regional multi-year program plans that aim at satisfying donor inquiries and meeting fundraising goals.

·        Collaborate with the Technical Programs Development and Impact (TPDI) Team, along with the IPG Regional Leadership Team, to leverage program synergy between departments.

·        Interdepartmental liaison in promoting mission integration and organization collaboration between various teams within IPG.

·        Assists / represents the Director of Program Strategy Operations in developing, socializing, and communicating IPG's multi-year vision to CCO staff, ministry partners, and key stakeholders.

·        Upholds established department protocols

·        Spearhead special projects as they are assigned

·        Represent the department in meetings where necessary

·        Other duties as assigned
