Job description

Role Overview:
We are seeking a Strategic Initiatives Manager to lead project oversight and ensure alignment of SCINet initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Outlining, defining, and initiating the project, implementing document control policies and documentation templates, Monitoring project progress and implementing changes where necessary, Monitoring expenditures in accordance with the budget, ensuring compliance with objectives, organizational policies, procedures, and standards, compiling project reports, ensuring project complies with best practices, SOPs, and other policies.
  • Oversee and maintain the SCINet Operations Kanban board.
  • Develop and manage a change management system and documentation.
  • Maintain, revise, and ensure accuracy of the Responsibility Assignment Matrix (RACI) for SCINet programs.
  • Track hardware inventory and manage risk programs.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders and facilitate communication.
  • Ensure all SCINet processes and documentation are up-to-date and compliant.
  • Provide regular status reports and ensure timely responses to queries.

Requirements:
  • 8+ years of program/project management experience.
  • Proven experience with maintaining and revising a RACI document.
  • Background in scientific computing, IT environments, or large-scale technical initiatives.
  • Experience managing network engineering projects, scientific research projects, customer communications, agile project management, assigning resources to proactively accomplish workloads
  • Experience working in scientific computing and research environments required.

Preferred: USDA experience; PMP Certification; Bachelor's degree
