Description:

We are seeking an experienced Strategic Account Manager to grow and manage some of the largest national accounts in the automotive tools and equipment industry. This role is responsible for driving sales growth, expanding market share, strengthening customer relationships, and identifying new business opportunities across key accounts.

The ideal candidate has a proven track record managing major national customers, developing strategic sales plans, and delivering measurable revenue growth. Responsibilities:
  • Business Development & Growth Strategy: Lead efforts to identify and capitalize on new business opportunities within strategic accounts. Develop and execute strategic growth initiatives that align with ISN’s long-term goals and client needs, driving double-digit growth in key markets.
  • Strategic Account Management: Build and maintain high-level, strategic relationships with key decision-makers. Understand customer objectives and work closely with internal teams to offer solutions that exceed customer expectations and drive market share.
  • Data-Driven Growth Insights: Analyze customer data and market trends to uncover growth opportunities. Leverage sales data and other analytics to build targeted strategies that enhance account performance, focusing on high-margin, fast-moving SKUs and business strategies.
  • Revenue Expansion: Develop and present comprehensive growth plans aimed at expanding account penetration and maximizing revenue potential. Implement strategies to improve profitability and capture untapped opportunities within key categories.
  • Collaborative Leadership: Partner cross-functionally with internal teams—including solutions, product, and operations, to ensure seamless execution of growth initiatives. Lead joint business planning processes that establish mutual performance goals, financial targets, and key milestones for 1 to 3-year strategic plans.
  • Account Profitability & Performance Management: Monitor and achieve revenue and profitability targets within strategic accounts. Regularly assess account performance, adjusting strategies and tactics to ensure the achievement of sales quotas and strategic objectives.
  • Customer-Centric Growth Alignment: Continuously engage with customers to clarify and validate their evolving needs. Adjust growth strategies to align with customer expectations, ensuring sustained value creation and high customer satisfaction.
  • Strategic Planning & Execution: Create and execute detailed strategic account plans that align with both customer goals and company growth objectives. Drive execution excellence, ensuring that growth initiatives are delivered on time and meet or exceed performance expectations.

Qualifications:

  • Must work full-time in our Lakeland office
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
  • Minimum 7-10 years of strategic sales/National Accounts experience in a sales environment
  • Deep experience with a combination of major accounts, (MAC Tools, Snap-On, AutoZone, O’Reilly, CarMax, Pep Boys, etc.)
  • Previous experience in Strategic Account Management
  • Understanding the tool & equipment industry a plus
  • Demonstrated category analysis skills.
  • Experience managing major national accounts at headquarter level.
  • Highly self-motivated
  • Travel is required, approximately 20% of the time.
