Position: Special Education- Strat II:BD Teacher

The Newton Community School District is accepting applications for a Special Education Strat II:BD Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year.
Candidates must hold or be in the process of obtaining a current Iowa Teaching License in the following endorsements area:
  • This position does require a K-12 Instructional Strategist II: BD/LD (263).
  • The District will consider teacher candidates who currently have a Strat I and will provide tuition assistance for graduate credits towards a Strat II:BD endorsement.

Candidates will need to successfully complete both physical and safety components of Nonviolent Crisis Prevention (CPI) training provided by the district upon hire.
