Machine Operator (Straightener): Freeport, Illinois
Our customer in Freeport, Illinois is seeking motivated individuals to join their team. We’re recruiting a Machine Operator (Straightener) to work full-time on 3rd shift (11:00pm–7:30am). As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for ensuring materials meet strict straightness and quality standards through precise machine operation and monitoring.
Responsibilities of the Machine Operator (Straightener):
  • Set up, adjust, and operate straightening equipment for metal bars, tubes, and plates.
  • Ensure materials meet precise tolerances and quality specifications.
  • Monitor machinery performance and make adjustments to maintain accuracy.
  • Inspect finished materials to ensure they meet quality standards.
  • Troubleshoot equipment and production issues using strong problem-solving skills.
  • Maintain safe, clean, and organized work areas.
  • Work collaboratively to meet production deadlines and goals.
Machine Operator (Straightener) Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working with complex machinery such as CNC equipment, grinders, drawing machines, or laser machines preferred.
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to learn specialized equipment.
